The terms you\'ll meet when trading on CryptoLarz, explained simply.
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Bitcoin is the first and best-known cryptocurrency, a borderless digital money you hold and send peer-to-peer.
- Blockchain
- A blockchain is a shared, tamper-resistant ledger that records cryptocurrency transactions across many computers.
- Cryptocurrency
- Cryptocurrency is digital money secured by cryptography that runs on a decentralized network like a blockchain.
- Digital goods
- Digital goods are products delivered electronically: software, e-books, accounts, gift codes, media and more.
- Escrow
- Escrow is a neutral hold on a payment until both sides of a trade do their part, protecting buyers and sellers.
- Fiat currency
- Fiat is government-issued money like the US dollar or euro, as opposed to cryptocurrency.
- Gift card / gift code
- A gift card is prepaid value for a retailer or network. On CryptoLarz, gift codes add value to your balance.
- P2P (peer-to-peer)
- Peer-to-peer trading means buying and selling directly between people rather than through a central institution.
- Phishing
- Phishing is a scam where attackers impersonate a trusted site or person to steal your password or funds.
- Private key
- A private key is the secret that proves ownership of cryptocurrency. Anyone who has it controls the funds.
- Two-factor authentication (2FA)
- Two-factor authentication adds a second step to login beyond your password, making accounts much harder to hijack.
- Wallet
- A crypto wallet stores the keys that let you receive and send cryptocurrency. On CryptoLarz it also means your balance.
